CICYTEX is an entity of the Regional Government of Extremadura. Our research fields are primarily agriculture, livestock, agri-food, and the natural resources of the dehesa, in various areas: Primarily, applied research, technological development, and the generation of new knowledge. The objective is to meet the demands of the sector, focusing research on its problems. Experimentation for the application of new techniques and production improvements that can be adapted to Extremadura's agricultural and livestock farms and incorporated into the region's industries and companies. Training. Transfer of technology and knowledge developed at CICYTEX, implementing a system that allows the results obtained from research projects to be effectively transferred to the Extremaduran productive sector. Assistance and advice to dehesa managers, farmers, ranchers, agri-food companies, cork and charcoal industries, and others linked to these areas, in areas where the private sector does not operate. Laboratory testing in microbiology and molecular biology, instrumental analysis, and physical-chemical analysis, aimed at meeting the industry's demands in this field.
