About me

In the last few years my research has focused on the study of consumer preferences towards different types of food (organic, functional, extensive...) and towards aspects related to them, such as packaging, where I have studied from different points of view the different aspects valued by consumers in packaging, as well as the acceptance and willingness to pay for new types of packaging. I have also researched extensively on aspects related to food sustainability, both on the consumer and producer side. Some sustainability related issues such as short food supply chains, carbon footprint or local production have been addressed in the last years either within research projects or through different Master or PhD Dissertations.

Other topics on which my research has also focused have been the aspects that affect the competitiveness of the agro-industry and the study of sustainability on farms. Many of these lines of research have been developed within competitive research projects at national and EU level, generating abundant research results in the form of publications in indexed journals, doctoral theses supervised and in progress, and research papers.
