My name is Antonio Bova, I am an Industrial Engineer and certified Perito 4.0, with a professional path built around innovation, technology, and sustainability. Over the years, I have combined engineering expertise with management skills and entrepreneurial vision, supporting SMEs, startups, and institutions in their transition toward Industry 4.0 and digital transformation.

Professional Background

I began my career as a civil engineer, working in infrastructure and construction projects, both in Italy and abroad. Assignments in Morocco and Haiti gave me international exposure and the ability to adapt to multicultural contexts. In 2008, after becoming a licensed engineer, I started working as a freelancer and consultant, gaining experience as a project designer, civil works tester, and court-appointed technical expert.

With the rise of Industry 4.0, my career took a decisive turn. Since 2018, I have specialized as a Perito 4.0, carrying out certified technical appraisals of industrial assets for tax credit eligibility under Italian and European legislation. My role requires precision in technical analysis but also strategic insight into how new technologies can reshape production processes and enhance competitiveness.

Beyond certifications, I work as an innovation manager, guiding companies in adopting advanced solutions such as additive manufacturing, rapid prototyping, human–machine interfaces, and digital process integration. My consulting activity also includes intellectual property strategies, access to EU and national funding, and lifecycle analysis (LCA, EPD, CAM) for sustainable development.

Entrepreneurial and Innovation Experience

A key step in my career was founding I-TENERE, a startup in the bio-building sector that produced five patents. Although the company eventually closed, this entrepreneurial experience taught me resilience, leadership, and the importance of translating ideas into concrete technologies. Today, I apply this entrepreneurial mindset to all my activities, promoting open innovation and helping organizations build long-term strategies.

Education and Skills

My academic path is multidisciplinary. After my Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering (Transport specialization), I completed several advanced programs: a Master’s in Energy Management, a Master’s in Eco-compatible Cementitious Composites, and a Master’s in Construction Business Engineering. My international experiences, including European programs like Erasmus for Entrepreneurs and Leonardo in Seville, reinforced my intercultural communication and collaborative skills.

Sustainability is central to my work and personal life. I serve as president of Kalistratia OdV, a non-profit association dedicated to environmental protection, where I contribute to projects that align professional expertise with social responsibility. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, trekking, and exploring different cultures—activities that inspire adaptability and broaden my perspective.
