My organisation

The National Old Folks of Liberia, Inc. (NOFOL) is a non-profit and non-governmental organization dedicated to promoting the welfare, dignity, and rights of elderly people in Liberia. Accredited by the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), NOFOL serves as a leading advocate for older persons, focusing on issues such as access to healthcare, social protection, and respect for autonomy and human rights. The organization partners with international bodies including the International Association for Hospice and Palliative Care and the Global Alliance for the Rights of Older People to strengthen advocacy and service delivery for aging populations. Through programs like the Age with Rights Campaign, NOFOL works to combat ageism, promote active and healthy aging, and influence national policies that protect and empower senior citizens. Its mission is to ensure that elderly Liberians live with dignity, independence, and inclusion in all aspects of society.

I am Lydia K. Nyengar, and I serve as Digital Officer with  National Old Folks of Liberia (NOFOL), a nonprofit organization committed to advocating for the rights and well-being of older persons. In this role, I manage digital communications, online platforms, and technology-driven initiatives that enhance NOFOL’s advocacy campaigns, outreach, and visibility both locally and internationally. My work focuses on leveraging digital tools to strengthen engagement, promote awareness on elder rights, and support NOFOL’s partnerships with global organizations.
