We offer bio-based micro- and nano-encapsulation based on lignin - a waste product from the paper industry. Our technology allows the targeted, controlled release of almost any substance through chemical modification and clever release mechanisms. It replaces synthetic encapsulation systems and is on the way to meeting current environmental and regulatory requirements such as the ban on microplastics. Applications include crop protection - for higher yields and less environmental impact - and flame retardancy through halogen-free, compatible additives. Our platform is scalable, economically attractive and can be seamlessly integrated into existing processes.
