We won the Earthshot Prize 2022, the Tom Ford Award 2023 and were the first company in Europe to have our seaweed coated takeaway containers approved as 'not plastic' by the Netherlands government. We are also the first seaweed packaging company to achieve a fully commercialised product on the market, our seaweed-coated takeaway containers for the food and drinks industry, of which we have sold over 22m units to date.

Our diverse team of scientists, engineers, technicians, project managers, sales and marketing staff work from our HQ in east London, UK with a fully equipped in-house lab, facilities and equipment.

We have an extensive network of partners spanning all of the industry verticals from seaweed farming to compounding to extrusion to commercialisation as well as a range of academic and RTO partners and are used to working collaboratively across sectors to bring our products to the market.

Notpla has won a range of grants from Innovate UK, Eureka Eurostars and is leading a Horizon grant so we are experienced with grant aplications and implementaiton of funded-projects.
