About me

Marco Giorgetti is an Associate Professor of Analytical Chemistry, and he leads the group of Spectroscopy Electrochemistry and Energy (S2E) at the University of Bologna (https://site.unibo.it/spectro-electrochem-energy-research-group/en). He is the local coordinator of the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master degree in “Advanced Spectroscopy in Chemistry”, and coordinator of several Erasmus exchange university of Bologna - European universities (Lille, Leipzig, Madrid). His research interest covers the field of the structural and electronic characterization of materials  for advanced batteries by core level spectroscopies, such as X-ray Spectroscopies, applied electrochemistry, sensors. He has applied Prussian blue-based materials in batteries, potentiometric and amperometric sensors, ion exchange. He is an expert in methodologies for data analysis. He had pioneered the in-situ characterization of energy material by the x-ray absorption synchrotron radiation technique.

He is delegate of BEPA for the University of Bologna.
