Our laboratory specializes in the characterization and modeling of electrochemical storage devices, ensuring their successful implementation. We develop and test comprehensive battery and energy systems, identifying optimal parameters for integrating electrochemical storage technology into diverse applications using advanced test and characterization methods.

High-performance battery and energy management systems (BMS and EMS) for safe and efficient operation of electrical storage systems.
Development, testing, and validation of robust software and hardware solutions for various battery applications.
Data-based strategies developed to maximize the life cycle and return of investment of lithium-ion batteries.

Laboratory focus:
Expertise in lead, lithium-ion, salt battery technology (NaNiCl) and investigation on new chemistries such as lithium-sulfur and solid-state batteries.
Analysis of battery cell properties and performance, including service life and thermal properties, using state-of-the-art test stands.
Development of algorithms for monitoring and evaluating battery systems (state of charge, service life, performance).
Creation of battery management systems (BMS) with specialized hardware for low internal consumption and high security.
