About

China Hua Neng Pro-Power Investment Limited is looking for renewable energy generation development opportunities in Southeast Asia, Central Asia, and Middle East.

*Pro-power Investment Limited is a Chinese state-owned company and a wholly-owned subsidiary of China Hua Neng Group Hong Kong Ltd (CHNG HK). It was registered and established in Hong Kong in May 2003. As an important investment platform, the company plays a crucial role for overseas strategy execution to operate and manage CHNG HK’s investment and assets. Corporate Structure and History*  Pro-power Investment Limited is a key investment platform of China Hua Neng Group Hong Kong Ltd. (CHNG HK), focused on the development and investment of overseas power projects to support CHNG HK’s international strategy. We have built a robust team of professionals focusing on greenfield development in renewable energy sectors and energy storage projects and exploring integrated energy utilization technologies, including waste to-energy, green hydrogen production, and CCUS. At the same time, the company actively seeks promising renewable energy opportunities in China’s rapidly growing domestic energy market. We have gained extensive experience in the development and investment of solar, onshore, and offshore projects. In addition to our specific projects, we hold a minority stake of 8.33% in Huaneng Power International, Inc., one of the largest listed power generation companies in China, with over 136 GW of operating capacity as of the end of 2023. The company also received a Long-Term Foreign-Currency Issuer Default Rating (IDR) of 'A' from Fitch in 2024. Last but not least, we work closely with CHNG HK and, with the support of our parent company, have strengthened capabilities in the development, construction, and operation of overseas projects. Founded in 1988, CHNG HK’s overseas projects had an installed capacity of over 1,870 MW across Australia and the UK by the end of 2023, with total assets valued at USD 2.8 billion. CHNG HK has representative offices in the UK, Australia, Kazakhstan, and Vietnam, covering key regions such as Europe, Central Asia, Southeast Asia, and Oceania, and over 6 GW of projects in development, with plans to commence construction on over 500 MW of renewables projects by 2025. In 2021, CHNG HK also established China Huaneng International Engineering & Technology Co., Ltd. (CHNET), which serves as the platform for CHNG HK’s global technology industrialization and its EPC operations in international markets. Over just three years, CHNET has grown rapidly, with annual engineering contract revenues exceeding USD 1 billion and over 2 GW of renewable projects delivered. We collaborate closely with CHNET to create synergies and provide comprehensive end-to-end EPC services, including Technical Due Diligence, Design, Procurement, Construction, and Operation & Maintenance, with a primary focus on wind power, solar PV, BESS, and integrated energy solutions.
