About
(I) Background & Significance
Global flooring construction exceeds 5 billion m² annually, but robot penetration is under 1% — a massive substitution opportunity. Traditional equipment suffers from heavy dust, labor dependence, low efficiency, and inconsistent flatness; high-end projects (data centers, semiconductor fabs, new energy bases) needing 2mm/2m ultra-flat floors rely on costly imported equipment and skilled labor. Our self-developed unmanned robots aim to reshape this market with original Chinese technology, aligned with the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).
(II) Products & Technology
A two-generation product roadmap:
-
Gen 1 — "Unmanned & Serialized": Fully autonomous, full-process floor construction (Pioneer 860, Hero 900). One unit runs 22+ hours/day, replacing 3 workers; efficiency +200%–400%, costs −53%.
-
Gen 2 — "Cutting-edge": Ultra-high-precision control achieving 2mm/2m ultra-flat accuracy, benchmarked to the world's best.
Powering the products: 8 proprietary core technologies — laser SLAM localization, automatic path planning, edge-trimming control, disc wear detection, dual-power switching, cable power supply, disc protection, obstacle stopping & dust collection — combined with 3D LiDAR and AI for autonomous perception and decision-making in large, changing, ultra-open scenes. Roadmap extends from floors to walls and ceilings — an embodied-intelligence infrastructure for the whole building.
(III) Industrialization Status
-
Manufacturing: In-house production with a stable supply chain (servo motors, LiDAR, batteries, discs, frames sourced from long-term domestic partners); Gen 1 in small-batch mass production with 10M+ m² completed.
-
Market: Customers span distributors, flooring subcontractors, general contractors, and vocational institutions. Deployed in data centers, semiconductor fabs, and new energy bases; present in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Europe — ~40% overseas sales, repurchase rate far above industry average.
-
Financing: Angel round (~RMB 10M) completed; Pre-A round in preparation.
(IV) Market & Competitive Moats
The global floor grinding machine market is projected to reach USD 2.3 billion by 2026, with no fully unmanned robot yet at scale — a window of explosive growth. Orca holds three moats:
-
Technology: Self-developed AI + industry know-how + millions of m² of construction data in a closed feedback loop; 26 patents; founder led drafting of 3 CECS industry standards; achievements rated internationally leading by third parties.
-
Team: Founder Zhou Xianhua — global pioneer of floor construction robots, senior engineer, ex-director of SANY's research institute and ex-dean of Bright Dream Robotics' research institute, 51 granted patents; co-founder Zuo Ying holds Tsinghua civil-engineering degrees (B.S./M.S.) and Fortune 500 finance experience.
-
Ecosystem: One of Huawei's 16 global embodied-intelligence partners; awards including the China Flooring Industry Science & Technology Innovation Award; real-world data feeds algorithm iteration in a "R&D → deployment → data → iteration" growth loop.
(V) BRI Layout & Plans
Operating model: "Hong Kong front office + Mainland manufacturing" (Foshan & Huzhou bases), covering Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Europe with ~40% overseas revenue. Plans: (1) deepen regional channels and distributor networks via Hong Kong, with benchmark projects and international exhibitions; (2) export Chinese robot standards and train intelligent-construction talent in BRI countries through university and vocational partnerships; (3) leverage Hong Kong's financial strengths to fund Gen 2 mass production and a global service network.
Our vision: "Leaving no floor in the world unpolished" — exporting China's embodied-intelligence construction technology to drive global industry upgrading.
