Bio-Lithic™ Circular Biomaterials Scale-Up in Asia
Founder & CEO at Mush Composites (Hong Kong) Company Limited
China (Hong Kong)
About
MUSH Composites is developing a cross-border scale-up platform for Bio-Lithic™, a new family of mycelium-based architectural surfaces and forms cultivated from locally sourced agricultural by-products.
The project connects pilot manufacturing and agricultural supply chains in Thailand with commercial development in Hong Kong and expansion into Singapore and other Asian markets. Bio-Lithic™ is being developed for interior applications across hospitality, retail, workplace, residential, furniture and property development.
Current status
• Proprietary material and product development completed at pilot level
• Pilot production and quality-control processes established in Thailand
• Initial architectural surfaces, panels and product applications demonstrated
• Third-party performance testing, environmental assessment and certification pathways are progressing
• Market engagement has begun with architects, designers, developers and material partners in Asia and Europe
Scale-up objectives
• Expand controlled pilot production into a commercially repeatable manufacturing system
• Improve production capacity, consistency, quality assurance and cost efficiency
• Complete relevant performance testing, LCA and market-entry certifications
• Deliver paid pilot installations with property, hospitality and design partners
• Establish agricultural by-product sourcing and local manufacturing partnerships
• Develop distribution and specification channels in Hong Kong, Singapore and selected international markets
Partnership opportunity
MUSH is seeking strategic investors, pilot customers, property developers, hospitality groups, manufacturing and engineering partners, certification specialists, distributors and architectural specification partners.
Investment will support production equipment, process automation, quality systems, certification, working capital, pilot installations and regional commercialization.
Potential cooperation structures include minority equity investment, strategic investment, joint venture, market distribution, manufacturing partnership, paid pilot projects and other mutually agreed arrangements.
The project contributes to circular manufacturing by creating higher-value material applications for agricultural residues while supporting sustainable design, regional manufacturing capability and lower-impact built environments.
