Ray solves complex problems efficiently and effectively for his clients in cross-border environments.
Cross-border transactions are becoming more complex and time-intensive. Ray is well-equipped, knowledgeable, and resourceful to lead and assist clients navigating transactions in an efficient and effective manner. He aims to serve his international and domestic clients with due care and diligence in order to maintain a long term relationship with them.
Ray has spent more than two decades working in China, the US, the UK, and Canada on a wide range of cross-border transactions and other corporate matters. Ray has significant experience in corporate law, including mergers and acquisitions, general corporate and commercial matters, corporate strategies, IPOs, regulatory compliance, and public takeovers. Many of his clients appreciate his personal, pragmatic approach to solving their problems, as well as his strong business acumen.
Ray has substantial experience in cross-border mergers and acquisitions in the energy & natural resources and real estate sectors. Ray has also advised on offerings and listings on the London, New York, Luxembourg, Irish, Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Tokyo Stock Exchanges, many of which represent milestone transactions. He is also an accredited general mediator of the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre and the Law Society of Hong Kong.
Ray follows the latest developments in law. This includes the study and application of laws relating to cannabis, fintech, cryptocurrency, PPP, and the "Belt and Road Initiative," etc. He takes full advantage of Seyfarth's global platform and works closely with Seyfarth's US and international offices, and as a result is able to offer his clients a full range of expertise.
