1. ​Yunji’s Maturity in the Chinese Market

Yunji’s flagship product, the ​multi-modal robot "UP" series, integrates modular hardware and the HDOS (Hospitality Digital Operation System) AI platform, enabling "one robot, multiple functions" such as delivery, cleaning, inspection, and concierge services. In China, UP robots have:

  • Scaled Deployment: Served over ​500 million tasks​ in 2024 alone, with a global market share leader in hospitality robotics 6,7.

  • Multi-Sector Penetration: Deployed in 100+ top hospitals (e.g., Beijing Union Hospital), hotels, factories, and communities, demonstrating stability across diverse scenarios 4,7.

  • Technological Leadership: Pioneered "embodied intelligence + disembodied intelligence" systems, enabling seamless human-robot collaboration and IoT ecosystem integration 8.

This maturity positions Yunji to replicate success in BRI markets with adaptable, cost-effective solutions.

2. ​Collaboration Framework for BRI Partners

We propose a two-pronged collaboration model:

① Joint Market Expansion in BRI Regions

  • Leverage Hong Kong as a Gateway: Yunji has established a Hong Kong subsidiary, R&D center, and partnerships with institutions like Hong Kong Polytechnic University and the Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC). .

  • Co-Marketing and Ecosystem Building: Partners can utilize Yunji’s existing BRI presence, such as engagements in Uzbekistan, Thailand, and Qatar, to co-host demos, participate in expos (e.g., Hong Kong International ICT Expo), and target high-demand sectors like tourism, healthcare, and smart cities.

② Co-Development of Localized Products

  • Adaptation to Regional Needs:

    • Language/Cultural Customization: Yunji’s robots already support Cantonese and hybrid English-Chinese recognition in Hong Kong. We will extend this to local languages (e.g., Arabic, Thai) and cultural nuances .

    • Scenario-Specific Upgrades: For example:

      • High-temperature resilience for Middle Eastern climates.

      • Touch-sensor integration (via partnerships like Tashan Tech) for precise object handling in hospitals or hotels .

      • Compliance with local regulations (e.g., EU machinery directives, ASEAN safety standards) .

  • Joint R&D Labs: Establish innovation hubs in partner countries to co-design robots for localized applications, such as:

    • Hospitality: Automated room service and multilingual guest interaction.

    • Healthcare: Drug delivery, disinfection, and elderly assistance robots .

    • Public Services: Smart city infrastructure maintenance and logistics.
