EEC Capital City: EECiti
Secretary General at Eastern Economic Corridor Office of Thailand (EECO)
Bangkok, Thailand
About
The EEC Capital City (EECiti) is a new smart city being developed on roughly 24 sq.km in Chonburi, near U-Tapao Airport. To fast-track investment, the immediate 1-2 year goal is to establish its core infrastructure. This will be achieved through a single Public-Private Partnership (PPP) that bundles all essential systems into one project. This integrated package includes smart power grids, water and waste management, transportation networks, advanced digital systems, and underground utility ducts.
The strategy is to create a "shovel-ready" site, significantly reducing risk for investors. Establishing this high-quality foundation first, EECiti aims to quickly attract development for its planned financial, business, healthcare, and residential zones, accelerating its transformation into a major economic and livable hub within the Eastern Economic By Corridor.
