Ciprian Alic

Ciprian Alic is currently a Management Consultant at the National Credit Guarantees Fund for SMEs (FNGCIMM S.A-IFN), a non-banking financial institution. Within the Fund, he has held several management positions since 2019, and his area of ​​expertise covers the field of state aid, products and programs financed from European funds dedicated to the SME sector. For 5 years, he was the administrator of the Local Guarantee Fund Craiova IFN S.A. Currently, he holds the elected position of full member of the Board of Directors of AECM - the European Association of Guarantee Institutions, headquartered in Brussels for the 2024-2027 mandate. Within the organization, he was elected President of the Digitalization Working Group, where he actively contributes to the transposition of European directives in the area of ​​financial and non-banking financial institutions.

Ciprian Alic has also two years of experience at the European Commission as a seconded national expert and for almost 5 years he was Director General and Deputy Director General of the Paying Agency for Rural Development and Fisheries (APDRP). In his professional career, he was for 5 years Director of the Department for Accessing European Funds and International Relations within TRANSGAZ S.A. and has over 25 years of experience in management positions in local and central public administration and in the private sector. He was an advisor to 3 ministers of the Government of Romania, with responsibilities in the field of European financing institutions and in private sector he served as General Manager of a group of 4 companies with Belgian capital. For two years he was an associate professor at the Academy of Economic Studies, at the Faculty of Business Administration, for the MBA Energy master's program (in English), being also the coordinator of dissertation works. He is also a lecturer at the Romanian Banking Institute, where he leads courses on the management of European funds and financial instruments.

Ciprian ALIC is a collaborator of several Associations and Foundations and author of several specialized works dedicated to the management of Small and Medium Enterprises and he elaborate studies in European Funds and in energy sector matters.
