About me

Dr. Mihaela Frăsineanu has over 25 years of experience in the field of environmental protection, a PhD in environmental risks, 6 published books, 12 scientific articles, and is an expert in 5 scientific research /development projects and 2 professional training projects. After 16 years as a lecturer at the Faculty of Geography, with expertise in hydrology, environmental risks, and protected natural areas, he spent four years as director and then general director and project manager for "Developing the administrative capacity of the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Forests to implement policy on waste and contaminated site management - CADS," whose main purpose was to develop the National Waste Management Plan and the National Waste Prevention Program, methodologies for investigating and decontaminating contaminated sites, and for developing County Waste Management Plans. International experience: Expert for the CoR rapporteur for the drafting of the opinion on the European Commission's first circular economy package at the Committee of the Regions (CoR), Commission for the Environment, Climate Change, and Energy (ENVE). For two years, he continued his career as environmental director at the National Road Infrastructure Administration Company (CNAIR SA), and then as director of the OIREP Packaging Association. The year 2022 brought a new professional challenge, again in central public administration, as deputy secretary general at the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Forests, and since 2023 he has held the position of State Advisor on Environmental Issues within the Prime Minister's Office.
