About me

Dr. Marie Deschamps (she, her)is a multi-cultural researcher, clinician, and artist based in Houston (USA). She holds a Ph.D. in expressive therapies from Lesley University, a Master’s in Public Policy from the London School of Economics, and a Master’s in counseling and art therapy from Edgewood University. A graduate from the MIT‑Harvard Innovation in Healthcare Bootcamp , she is the founder and innovator of Icanfeel, a digital symptom expression tool currently tested in an ongoing clinical trial at MD Anderson Cancer Center (Houston, TX). She is passionate about combining art therapy with data‑driven insights to support personalized cancer care. She is also a visiting scholar at The New School (NY), where she researches ethical uses of AI in therapy and has presented internationally on the importance of culturally inclusive innovation.
