My organisation

SRIM is a scientific, professional and non-governmental organisation. SRIM aims to promote active research and development of the health informatics community in academic, commercial and medical fields both at home and abroad. Romania has been represented as a corresponding member of IMIA since 1986 and became a full member of IMIA in 1994. It currently has representatives in several IMIA and EFMI working groups. Also in 1994 SRIM became a member of EFMI.  Members with different backgrounds such as: physicians, IT experts, engineers, mathematicians and other professionals working in the field of health informatics. Continuing the work of a group of specialists who started working in this field in 1977. Coordinating the activities of its members to promote health informatics in the country and supports international cooperation in this field. A legacy of collaboration in Medical Informatics Bringing together members with different backgrounds such as physicians, IT experts, engineers, mathematicians, and other professionals working in the field of health informatics, Continuing the work of a group of specialists who started working in this field in 1977., Coordinating the activities of its members to promote health informatics in the country and supports international cooperation in this field.

About me

Sebastian-Aurelian Ștefănigă, with over nine years of experience at West University of Timișoara, Romania, he obtained his B.Sc. degree in Applied Computer Sciences in 2014, an M.Sc. degree in Artificial Intelligence and Distributed Computing in 2016. In 2021 he successfully obtained his Ph.D. in Computer Science, solidifying his research capabilities and contributions to the field.

Dr. Ștefănigă's involvement in research projects funded by the European Commission and other research funding agencies is noteworthy. He has participated in over 10 projects, both as a member and leader. His research interests include Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Statistics, and Medical Informatics. Through his work, Dr. Ștefănigă demonstrates a multidisciplinary approach and an ability to apply his expertise to address real-world challenges.
