About me
I am a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) with a specialized focus on dairy cattle breeding and management. My academic and professional journey has provided me with deep expertise in reproductive physiology, genetics, animal nutrition, disease prevention, and sustainable livestock production systems. I actively contribute to research and innovation aimed at improving breeding strategies, animal health, and welfare within the dairy industry. In addition to my technical competencies, I have completed several specialized programs under EIT Food, including Functional Food Design, Climate Change Adaptation in Agriculture, and Sustainable Food Systems, which have broadened my perspective on the interconnections between animal production, human health, and environmental sustainability.I bring experience in multi-stakeholder collaboration, working across academia, industry, and the farming community to co-create and implement practical solutions. I am also involved in policy analysis and development, particularly in areas concerning animal welfare standards, sustainable agriculture, and climate resilience in livestock systems. My current work revolves around driving evidence-based improvements in dairy cattle management while aligning with EU priorities on sustainability, circular economy, animal welfare, and climate change mitigation. I am passionate about bridging the gap between science and practice and contributing to the design of more resilient and future-ready agri-food systems.
