About me
Dr. Roxana Mioara Piticescu, graduated Organic Chemical Technology Faculty at the University POLITEHNICA Bucharest in 1983. She started to work in research field moving from rubbers and plastics chemistry to anti-cancer drugs synthesis and finally in 1988 to the Institute for Non-ferrous and Rare Metals. From 1997 she is PhD in Applied Physical Chemistry. Beside coordination of more Projects in the frame of National Programme for Advanced Materials, Micro and Nanotechnologies, she was in-charge of work in more European projects and also member in the management committee of six European COST projects. From 1999 until now she done more research stages in Italy, Spain and France. She published 2 books, one book chapter in Wiley Publishing House, 2 book chapters in IntechOpen Publishing House, 61 ISI papers, more than 60 papers presented at National and International Conferences, 10 national patents, 1 European patent, 644 citations (without self-citations), Hirsch index h=15, 67 recommendations, 23,559 readings. Medals and prizes at fairs and exhibitions: 7 gold medals; 7 silver medals; 1 diploma of excellence; 1 honorary diploma. Technical Expert at the European Commission (PTA) for 6 FP6 projects and 5 FP7 projects, participation in international projects FP 5, FP 6 and FP 7, H2020. Her basic background in organic chemistry together with the high level of knowledge received during practical and theoretical approach to ceramic nanomaterials meets together in developing new projects and ideas in the field of materials science and engineering.
