Established in 1962, Borosil began as the Industrial & Engineering Apparatus Company Pvt. Ltd., founded by Dr. Lele. The company was formed to acquire the undertaking of the Industrial and Engineering Apparatus Company Pvt. Ltd. In 1963, it entered a collaboration with Corning Glass Works, USA, which provided technical and financial support. Over the years, Borosil has diversified its business into 3 listed entities. Borosil Limited, a leading consumer glassware company in India is a supplier of microwaveable kitchenware and opal ware products. It sells and markets microwavable and flameproof kitchenware and glass tumblers through more than 15,000 retail outlets and has three manufacturing facilities. Borosil Renewables Ltd, India’s first and largest producer of low iron textured solar glass. Its applications span photovoltaic modules, flat-plate collectors, and greenhouses. Since commissioning the first state-of-the-art solar glass facility in 2010 in Gujarat, India, the company had set benchmarks in the industry including the world’s first antimony-free solar glass line and pioneering fully tempered 2mm thick solar glass. It expanded the global manufacturing footprint in 2022 by acquiring Glasmanufaktur Brandenburg GmbH (GMB), a state-of-the-art solar glass facility located in Tschernitz, Brandenburg, Germany. It presently supplies to nearly all of India’s major solar panel manufacturers and exports to Europe, Turkey, the Americas, and the MENA, playing a vital role in the global clean energy transition. Shreevar Kheruka is the Managing Director & CEO of Borosil Ltd., one of India’s leading consumer brands. Under his leadership, Borosil has transformed into a multi-product, multi-brand, multi-channel, and international consumer-centric organization spanning across consumer goods, scientific products, pharmaceutical packaging and solar glass. His strategic vision has been pivotal in fostering innovation and establishing Borosil as a globally respected brand focused on customer satisfaction and sustainable growth.

Shreevar joined Borosil in 2006 and has since played a key role in the company’s transformation from a single-product organization to a diversified leader across industries. He has successfully driven operational excellence and spearheaded initiatives such as integrating acquisitions, expanding into new product categories and enhancing Borosil’s market presence both domestically and internationally. His leadership has ensured consistent growth while fostering a culture that values employees and prioritizes customers.

Over the years, Shreevar has earned several accolades, including being named a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum and being recognized in the Economic Times’ '40 under Forty' list of top business leaders in India. A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, he holds dual degrees in Economics with concentrations in Finance and Entrepreneurship from the Wharton School and International Relations from the College of Arts and Sciences. He further honed his leadership skills through the Owner President Management Program at Harvard Business School.

Based in Mumbai, Shreevar enjoys traveling, skiing, and playing tennis. He shares his life with his wife, Priyanka, also a University of Pennsylvania graduate, and their three children.
