Maatroom was born from a need for inner order, where form becomes an expression of balance and clothing a result of the synthesis of thought, lines and style. The apparent simplicity of the essential shapes conceals profound conceptual elements.A mind that generates ordered thoughts which are endowed with a silent and natural elegance. A new, whispered femininity dedicated to the confident woman who faces her existence with reason and feeling. Clothing made to last over time with distinctive recurring elements and forms which complete one another. Simple lines are distinguished by a precise and ever coherent choice of taste and style, in which masculine and feminine, austere and docile, rigid and fluid coexist in an unforeseen balance. A careful work of construction dedicated to each piece as all is precious. Purity and mystery; white and black: a chromatic choice in which each element becomes essential. A process of minimisation which emphasises the characteristics of the materials and the cut of each piece of clothing. With each collection new colours are added, creating a unique and delicate chromatic symphony. From the research for Italian fabrics and products that respect the environment, down to the choice of a singular button, extreme care is dedicated to each choice in order to create for a responsible fashion. Our suppliers are chosen for their specialisation and their selfsame vision of life, work and beauty. Each of our collections is identified by name and by number and unbound from temporal references. Modular collections that are revealed through an overlapping of layers and a revisitation. It is a sustainable approach to ensure that the dress is not linked to the rapid time of a season but that it is part of a deeper concept, they are not just objects, they are memories, emotions, fragments of ourselves.

About me

After completing a three-year academic program at the Accademia del Lusso in Milan in Fashion Styling & Communication, a Continuing Education course in Trend Forecasting at IED Milan, and a digital course from the Institut Français de la Mode in Fashion and Society, I have collaborated on various projects in the fields of Fashion Styling and Trend Forecasting. I have also been part of creative teams for the production of music videos and video art. In addition, I provide consultancy for several brands in the areas of styling, trend analysis, and communication. Since 2016, I have been part of the teaching staff at Accademia del Lusso in Milan, and since 2019, I have also taught at IAAD – Istituto di Arte Applicata e Design in Turin and Bologna. Following numerous trips to the East and Northern Europe, I developed a personal stylistic vision and a particular interest in experimental fashion. This led me to create my first Capsule Collection, AMORPHOUS, which was presented in China during the Guangzhou University Fashion Week in May 2015, and later won the Best Fashion Design award at Paratissima X. In 2016, I launched the brand Maatroom, born from a need for inner order, where form becomes an expression of balance, and the garment is the synthesis of thought. Pieces are designed to last over time, with recurring signature elements and complementary shapes. Every decision is made with extreme care to build a responsible approach to fashion—from the selection of Italian fabrics to the conscious reuse of remnants. In November 2017, the brand showcased Collection No.3 MIRROR UNIVERSE A/W 2017.18 during Fashion Design Week, under the artistic direction of IAAD Turin. In September 2018, Collection No.6 THEN COMES THE SUN S/S 2019 was presented at Vancouver Fashion Week as a brand selected by the Canadian Chamber of Commerce. MM AWARDS 2021 – Winner of the Silver Prize in the Fashion Design category (professionals/freelancers).
Brand selected for the Antwerp Future of Fashion 2023 event.
