My name is Benoît Lorenzo-Martin, founder of Sources Food.

I help food manufacturers source traceable raw materials that meet both their quality requirements and budget constraints.

I travel across Europe searching for seafood ingredients, including fish, molluscs, and crustaceans.

For example, I recently supported a major prepared-meals manufacturer that was looking for high-quality octopus during a period of severe market shortage. To solve this challenge, I contacted every Spanish octopus processor to identify the right supplier. Eventually, I found a company in Northern Spain that had available stock and was able to meet the client's stringent quality requirements. As a result, I secured and managed a supply contract for 80 tonnes delivered throughout the year.

We are a team of two specialists with extensive expertise in seafood sourcing. Our lean and highly responsive structure allows us to provide tailor-made solutions while managing the entire process from A to Z: selecting the right raw materials, ensuring compliance with customer specifications, conducting regular factory visits, and coordinating all logistics.

What our clients value most is having a single point of contact who simplifies the entire sourcing process.

Our business model is straightforward: we earn a transaction fee between the purchase and the sale.

What truly sets me apart is the quality of the long-term relationships I build with both suppliers and customers. I am always transparent about what is possible and what is not. When I commit to something, it is a firm commitment. Keeping my word is one of my core values and something I take very seriously.
