Closed Joint Stock company INTA was found on the 16th of March, 1990 – the 5th day of re-establishment of Lithuanian independence. INTA is one of the first who started to provide copiers, telecommunication equipment and support services for Lithuanian market. Today INTA is Non-Intrusive Inspection Technology (NII) solutions integrator with 20+ years of experience in border security projects around the Europe. Field of expertise covers NII assessment, reference model, installation, testing, deployment, training, CONOPS recommendations, maintenance and scanners performance quality assurance, archetype of NII centralization platform, remote image analysis, command and control center. Implemented projects portfolio includes delivery and maintenance of multiple railway, fixed, gantry and mobile x-ray cargo and vehicle inspection systems.

INTA, together with its partners, was the first in Europe to implement multi-agency and multi-country single network of data exchange between x-ray scanners used by the customs authorities of the three Baltic States (BAXE). BAXE system enables the creation of a single network of exchange of information on x-ray images of transport/cargoes crossing the state border and effective control and information exchange mechanism.

INTA has developed dynamic, innovative and adaptive advanced cargo scanners images analysis and threat objects recognition training program, which has been evaluated by many Customs Authorities and Customs practitioners. In 2022 our training methodology as well as solution were recognized as the winner and awarded the PEC-CP (Pan-European Network of Customs Practitioners) Innovation prize, which was officially launched during the WCO Technology Conference and Exhibition lunch event in Maastricht,  Netherlands. X-ray scanners operators from 4 continents and 21 countries have been trained by INTA instructors to make NII screening process faster and more efficient, improve customs enforcement and increase hit rate.
