About me
I joined the World Wildlife Fund to lead the organization’s seaweed and shellfish work, and WWF’s first Impact Investing initiative. Before joining WWF I led the development of the US’s first commercial kelp farms and was a mussel farmer in the state of Maine. Prior to that I had a career in animal health biotech.
I have served on the advisory boards of Maine SeaGrant, the Aquaculture Research Institute at the
University of Maine, Maine Aquaculture Association, The Maine Technology Institute, The Conservation Law Foundation, and currently serves on advisory boards and working groups for the International Commission for Exploration of the Seas, Oceans 2050, and am currently advising and a number of US and EU grant funded projects related to ocean health and sea farming, and serve as a board member of Manomet Conservation Sciences.
