Oceana organic Products Ltd (Oceana) is a unique seaweed science company lead by Dr Stefan Kraan with over 35 years of experience and unequalled knowledge in the science, marketing and successful execution of bringing unique seaweed concepts to market. The focus is the commercialization of our unique and specific seaweed ingredients and formulations for plant, animal and human health based on the bioactive ingredients that are present in different “macro algae” that can provide a natural, sustainable and cost-effective alternative to the chemical and synthetic ingredients that dominate the horti and agri sectors, livestock and human health and sports nutrition industry. After more than 16 years of development and analysing the ingredients used in these sectors we are bringing to market unique and proprietary seaweed based formulations that have specific value to these sectors.
Oceana is a wholly organic and sustainable ingredient supplier focusing on immune support and gut health. Provides organic nutrition through the sustainable cultivation and harvesting of warm and cold water seaweeds. Oceana has develop some commercial ideas using seaweeds for a variety of purposes amongst them functional food ingredients for fish farming and novel algae cultivation systems for biofuel production.
Currently Oceana is developing seaweed cultivation in India, producing agarose , biostimulant and works on biopaper and bioplastics. As part of Blaaker AS, Norway we are also involved in developing and applying biodegradable rope for aquaculture and biodegradable materials for avariety of applications. The company offers consultation in seaweed aquaculture, sustainable development of algal resources, industrial applications of seaweeds and usage of seaweeds in animal feed and aquaculture, plant protection (agri and horti culture) , biotechnology and biomedicine.
