About me
Professor Muhammadou M. O. Kah is a leading scholar of Information Technology and Development in Africa. He currently serves a Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of The Gambia to the Swiss Confederation and Permanent representative to the UNOG, WTO, and other international organisations in Switzerland. He is the curent Chairman of the UN Commission on Science and Technology For Development (CSTD).
He also holds the distinguished position of Visiting Professor(non-resident) at the University of Johannesburg, South Africa. He served on the Faculty at various reputable Universities globally, including Howard ,Rutgers, George Washington University , American University of Nigéria; American University of Sharjah UAE; ADA University, Azerbaïjan, etc. His previous roles includes:- Founding Dean and Professor of IT & Computing; American University of Nigéria; Founding Dean and Professor of IT & Communications, School of IT and Engineering and Vice Rector for Technology and Innovations at ADA University,Azerbaijan; Provost/Vice President for Academic Affairs at the American University of Nigeria, etc. He also served as 3rd Vice-Chancellor/President of The University of The Gambia, where he was also the first Gambian to serve in that role.
