During the afternoon workshop, IIS Digibiocontrol is pleased to invite you to discover innovations in biocontrol and digital research, exploring the potential connection between two seemingly disconnected worlds.

  • 2:00 pm - 2:05 pm: General introduction by the IIS leaders, Pr. Philippe JACQUES and Dr. Jean-Yves PARFAIT

  • 2:05 pm - 2:35 pm: Presentations on the regulation and approval of biopesticides by Dr. Hervé LEGROS (REDEBEL) and biostimulants by Pr. Patrick du JARDIN (ULiège)

  • 2:35 pm - 2:45 pm: Presentation by Pr. Philippe JACQUES on European projects carried out by IIS partners and presentation of the associated challenges

  • 2:45 pm - 3:30 pm:

    • Presentation of the URBANE project

      • "Smart traps for pest insect monitoring " by Mr. Giorgos TSAPPARELLAS (CyRIC)

      • "Measuring nutritional qualities and health impacts through low-cost spectrometry" by Dr. Philippe COUSIN (Sensee)

    • Presentation of the X-Tree project by Dr. Christophe BONAZZI (ELICIR) and Mr. Arnaud MALERBE (APEO)

  • 3:30 pm - 4:30 pm: Poster session, with 13 submitted posters covering various topics such as digital, biostimulants, biofungicides, bioinsecticides, nematicides, bioherbicides, and biotechnologies (phenotyping, genetic selection)

  • 4:30 pm - 5:00 pm: Presentation by Dr. Carine PETIT from NCP Wallonia on current project calls and orientations for the 2025 program (Life, CBE, Interreg, Eureka, Eurostars; EIC, SME instrument, Prime horizon)
