Evrmind is a London company building a safety, security and assurance co-processor for AI and autonomous systems.

AI is moving from producing text to taking actions: controlling machines and moving money. Models can be manipulated or can act outside the limits they were given, and the controls meant to stop them mostly run in software the AI can reach. Operators in defence, critical infrastructure and regulated finance increasingly need to prove control before they can deploy.

Our co-processor sits between the AI and the machine it controls. It checks every action the AI proposes against the operator's own rules at runtime, taking into account the state of the system and what has already happened. Anything outside the rules is withheld, and every decision, allowed or blocked, is recorded in a tamper-evident, hardware-signed log. The enforcement runs on separate silicon the AI cannot reach or reprogram, and it keeps working without a network connection.

Where we are: the enforcement block is validated on FPGA, and the full five-block pipeline is designed and covered by 26 patent families filed at UKIPO. Our CTO (20 years in senior silicon roles at Arm, Intel, Broadcom, Dialog and Imagination) and our lead cryptographer (ex-Optalysys) are signed and join at first close.

Our first markets are defence and critical national infrastructure, followed by regulated finance. The product can be built into new platforms as IP or an FPGA module, or fitted to existing infrastructure as a retrofit card. It sits within the UK AI Hardware Plan's scope of AI hardware for edge and embodied systems.

We are raising a £3.5m pre-seed round with SEIS and KI-EIS advance assurance approved. The round funds the full pipeline on FPGA with a design partner, and our first paid evaluations.
