Deltia AI is a Berlin-based industrial AI and robotics startup building the intelligence layer for manufacturing. Founded as a Series A company with a team of 40 people, Deltia operates at the intersection of computer vision, vision-language models, and physical automation, with the long-term mission of making factories self-optimising through AI that can both observe and act.

Our production product today is a 7B-parameter vision-language model (VLM) deployed across 60+ manufacturing sites in Europe, where it continuously observes assembly stations, tracks cycle times, validates standard operating procedures, and surfaces process deviations to plant managers in real time. The system has tracked over 20 million production cycles to date and is operationally embedded in the daily workflow of customers ranging from automotive tier-1 suppliers to consumer electronics manufacturers. This deployment gives us something rare in the robotics space: a real, paying customer base, deep production-floor data, and a precise understanding of which manufacturing tasks are most repetitive, most error-prone, and most ripe for automation.

The robotics expansion we are now executing builds directly on this foundation. The thesis is simple: the same VLM that today observes human workers will, over the next two to three years, direct robots performing the same tasks. Analytics is how we land in the factory, build customer trust, and gather the data that tells us which stations to automate first; robotics is the expansion that closes the loop from observation to action. We are not pivoting — we are extending the existing product into a new modality, with the same perception stack, the same SOP understanding, and the same customer relationships.
