House of English

House of English Schools are located in Lamia, Central Greece. Founded in 2014 by Elizabeth Veliou and Argiris Tzimas, the school was established with a vision to transform education in the region. Students acquire knowledge through experiential and multisensory learning, while 21st-century skills are embedded throughout the curriculum. Language learning is enriched through literature, cinema, art, culture, and project-based learning, reflecting the school’s holistic approach to acquiring a new language and enabling students to use it effectively in real-life contexts.

With more than 400 students in its eleventh year of operation, House of English is recognized as a model language school, both locally in Lamia and nationally across Greece. The school also offers Academic Support Services to other language schools throughout Greece. Programs first piloted and researched at House of English have now been adopted by over 80 schools across Greece and Cyprus, demonstrating its influence on language education nationwide.
