EDIT software: Automatic 3D reconstruction and visualisation software

The EDIT software is the outcome of a 4-years EU project, developed to be the first fully automatic and accurate reconstruction tool.

The EDIT software is a standalone windows 10 software that combines Ultrasound and Photoacoustics images, automatically and accurate performs a bladder reconstruction, visualizes the bladder model in 3D and generates in real time important measurements. To facilitate the monitor of the tumour progress, it includes a comparator of 3d models in a timeline approach, a slicer to project 2D images on the 3D model, an oxy/deoxy 3D visualization and an outer wall extraction to estimate the bladder thickness.

The EDIT software results to up to 20% reduction of errors in recognising tumours and to a reduction of a factor of 400% of the time needed for diagnosis (from an average of 30 minutes to a few seconds). There is no need for employing well-trained personnel, while it results to up to 60% reduction of the number of mice used.

The EDIT software is a well validated solution ready to launch the market. It is based on the efforts of 4 years research project with the involvement of Lime Technology, a highly expertise software development company and Ospedale San Raffaele, a large research organization.
