EROFIO Additive is one of Europe’s most advanced metal additive manufacturing centres, integrated within EROFIO’s long-established mould-making and high-precision engineering ecosystem. The company has been incorporating metal Additive Manufacturing into its tooling processes since 2011, enabling the production of conformal-cooled mould inserts and complex functional components long before AM became mainstream.

The additive division operates multiple L-PBF systems:

• GE Concept Laser MLINE (500 × 500 × 500 mm, 4 × 400 W) – a large-format, serial-production machine for Corrax parts.

• Concept Laser M2 (250 × 250 × 300 mm, 400 W) – optimized for 1.2709 and Corrax inserts with conformal cooling, high-strength structures, and advanced thermal management.

• Concept Laser M3 (350 × 250 × 200 mm, 100 W) – for fine-feature components and engraving.

The portfolio expands in 2025 with the DMG-MORI LASERTEC 30 SLM 3rd Gen, supporting AlSi10Mg, Ti6Al4V and Mar55, powered by 4 × 1000 W lasers for high productivity and multi-material capability.

EROFIO also operates a DMG-MORI LASERTEC 65 DED Hybrid (735 × 650 × 560 mm), combining 5-axis machining and DED deposition for multi-material builds, large components, functional repairs and copper-enhanced thermal systems—unique in Europe.

Engineering capabilities include CFD/rheological simulation (SIGMASOFT), structural analysis (ANSYS), and topology optimization (nTop), ensuring that moulds and technical components are fully optimized before manufacturing. Extensive post-processing—heat treatment, machining/EDM, blasting and polishing—delivers aerospace-grade quality.

Through the integration of mould-making expertise and more than a decade of AM innovation, EROFIO delivers end-to-end metal additive solutions for conformal-cooled tooling, lightweight structures, thermal components and high-precision industrial and space-grade applications.
