Joao Serrano Gomes works in the CLIMA.C.2 Unit- Low Carbon Solutions (II): Research & Low Carbon Technology Deployment

Joao is responsible of the design and implementation and further development of the Innovation Fund and the Modernisation Fund and other financial instruments related to innovative clean technologies, as well as on the implementation and further development of the Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) Directive, including further research on CCS. As a source of knowledge provide expertise on EU Emission Trading System in support of the EU's climate mitigation objective and in view of implementing the Paris Agreement.
