Meet the experts III - Research Ethics & Regulation

Winfred Nazziwa - I head the Research Compliance and Quality Assurance Unit at Uganda National Council for Science and Technology (UNCST). Generally, my work at UNCST involves a range of human research participants’ protection programmes. I have more than 10 years’ experience in research oversight and protection of research participants.

Iam broadly interested in bioethics with particular emphasis on research ethics. I hold Bachelor of Arts (Social Sciences) Honors and Master in Public Health with a focus on Health Services Research (MHSR) from Makerere University, Kampala Uganda. Currently pursuing a PhD in Bioethics, my research interests are around the ethics of Controlled Human Infection Studies in low resource settings.

Generally, I would like to discuss with junior researchers' aspects of research ethics and regulatory oversight of research if it's acceptable to the organizers.
