About me
I am a Professor of epidemiology and public health in the Department of Epidemiology and Medical Statistics, Faculty of Public Health, College of Medicine, University of Ibadan. I am also a Medical Consultant at the University College Hospital, University of Ibadan.
I have over 25 years experience training epidemiologist in Nigeria and sub-Saharan Africa. I have worked with African Field Epidemiological Network in Nigeria to train FELTP students and as a national surveillance officer/state coordinator with the WHO, Nigeria. I have experience on preparedness and response to epidemics, including Poliomyelitis, Ebola, Lassa fever and more recently on the COVID-19 pandemic and the Monkey pox outbreaks. I have published in both local and international journals. I was listed among the World Top 2% researchers globally for four consecutive years (2020 - 2023) year released in 2021- 2024. I am the coordinator of the EDCTP Grant **(**CSA2020E- 3134) for the MPH in Epidemiology and Biostatistics with specialty in Disease Outbreak and Epidemic Response (MPHEBDOER).
