About me

Dr. Francis Zeukeng is a molecular epidemiologist with background in Biochemistry. He graduated from the Biotechnology Centre of the University of Yaounde 1 (BTC/UY1) in Cameroon where he obtained his MSc and Ph.D. degrees in Biochemistry in 2018. He currently serves as Lecturer at the University of Buea and Associate Researcher at the Biotechnology Centre of the University of Yaounde 1. He has worked in molecular biology of infectious diseases since 2012 and has developed a keen interest in the use of genomics and bioinformatics tools to study the agents that cause emerging and neglected tropical diseases. Dr Zeukeng has completed a two-years EDCTP-funded postdoctoral fellowship at Noguchi Memorial Institute for Medical Research in Ghana, and he is currently conducting a career development program under the CANTAM Network between the BTC/UY1 and the Wellcome Sanger Institute in UK.
