Integrated Immunology and Data Science for Infectious Disease Studies
About
The WHO Collaborating Centre for Leishmaniasis at the National Centre for Microbiology, Instituto de Salud Carlos III (Spain), provides specialized services for the analysis of specific cellular immune responses in peripheral blood samples (e.g., PBMCs). These capabilities support the immunological monitoring of patients in clinical trials and epidemiological studies across a range of infectious diseases.
We have broad experience in the evaluation of new diagnostic tools, treatments, and vaccine candidates, particularly in the field of leishmaniasis, with approaches adaptable to other disease areas.
In addition, we apply omics-based methodologies to clinical trials and epidemiological studies. Data are further integrated using advanced deep machine learning approaches, allowing the identification of novel biomarkers, predictive signatures, and actionable insights to improve trial outcomes and public health strategies.
