| ORGANISATION HISTORY/EXPERIENCE: Born in April 2008, the “Centro Riparazione Materie Plastiche – Center for plastic material repair (C.R.M.P.)” firm, thanks to its innovative patent concerning the machinery, which permits, together with an adequate blending of polymer and/or co-polymer and through a temperature accelerator, the welding of plastic objects and therefore the assembly and repair, and thanks to its owner ten year experience in the field of plastics, has oriented its main activities to the repair and, consequently, reuse of some typologies of items made of plastic as: bins used in agriculture, bins for urban waste, tanks and soon even bumpers. FIELD OF ACTVITIES: Through the innovative and particular plastic-materials techniques of repair, C.R.M.P. works in the field of prevention from plastic waste production throughout the total functionality recovery of broken (and thus not utilisable) plastic items. In this way, it also allows the reduction of the consumption of energy needed for the production on the new items, thanks to the innovative technology of hot weld of plastic. MAIN PRODUCTS/SERVICES: Thanks to the innovative technology, C.R.M.P. At today can repair almost all the typologies of plastic items, nevertheless it has decided to concentrate on some specific categories relevant for the environment as bins for the agriculture and bins for urban waste. Since today, in fact, these items could not be repaired, thus, once broken, they were abandoned somewhere or grounded in order to obtain secondary raw materials, with a high negative impact for the environment, in the former case, and an higher energy consumption in the latter one. Moreover, this innovative technology will permit a lengthening of the life cycle of these items, allowing more usage cycles and then a less production of special wastes and a less energy consumption for the productions of the new ones. TECHNOLOGIES: The technology, used and patented by C.R.M.P. is related to the machinery, to the composition of the blend materials for the welding as well as to the process of preparation of the items to be repaired and to the operative process through which it is possible to weld and thus to assembly, repair and hot fill of plastic materials. | |

| DETAILED DESCRIPTION: The project proposals consists in the development of a network of enterprises in Italy (and then in Europe), allowing the satisfaction of the market needs and ensuring at the same time high operative and logistic efficiency, through a wide presence. At today the technology is applied to: bins for the agriculture and bins for urban waste, tanks, and any other objects made of polyethylene (PEHD, PELD) or polipropylene (PP). Moreover, studies and experimentations for blending and welding materials for bumpers and other plastic materials (ABS, PET, etc.) are still going on in order to lead towards a BtoC logic. MAIN ADVANTADGES / BENEFITS: The concerned market is totally new thus really beneficial for operators that will decide to join the initiative in Italy (and after in Europe). Moreover, the aim of prevention and re-use of plastic special wastes makes this activity extremely beneficial even for the environment and this is the reason why the initiative involves local institutions, due to the general interest of the action itself. TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS (The compilation of this field its strongly suggested): For the implementation of a centre of plastic material repair, particular technical requisites are not required. Anyway, it is important that the centre is located in an easily reachable site, with transport infrastructures in the nearby, with an area of 300 m2 for the workshop and quite 2.000 m2 forecourt for storage.
